Painting has always been a deeply personal mode of expression for me. My work unfolds on an intuitive level in which there is a common underlying theme of human longing and the desire to connect with the mystery of spirit. It is an exploration of an internal landscape where both personal and collective symbolism comes to life.

As important as the imagery itself, I love to create a surface that is rich and beautiful to the eye. By combining many layers of color and texture, including paint, beeswax, gold leaf, and collaged paper and text, the sensual qualities of the materials serve to further enhance the spirit in which the paintings come to exist.
